October is , and the Norman Regional Hospital Women’s & Children’s team was proud to share safe sleep tips at this year’s National Night Out in Norman! 👶💤

Alongside first responders and local organizations, our team hosted a Clear the Crib Challenge for local kids to play while helping families learn how to create a safe sleep environment for infants. Simple steps, like placing your baby on their back to sleep and keeping the crib clear of blankets, pillows or toys, can make a big difference in keeping little ones safe.

From healthcare education to community outreach, we’re proud to support families every step of the way!

Keeping our community healthy takes teamwork! 💪💉 Thanks to the Norman Regional Foundation for funding flu vaccines and to our nurses for administering the shots, we’re able to provide free flu shots to organizations like The Virtue Center, helping reach people who might not otherwise have access. The vaccines were given to vulnerable populations such as the unhoused, those battling addiction and the uninsured.

📢 We heard you, and we’re proud to say… the Oklahoma Wound Center is officially open again!

After listening to our patients, providers, and community members, Norman Regional recognized the critical need for advanced wound care close to home. The newly reopened center features an expert team of wound care doctors. Ricardo “Rich” Rodriguez, MD, and Lorene “Nikki” Rodriguez, MD, are ready to help Oklahomans heal safely and effectively.

The Oklahoma Wound Center offers:
➡️ Comprehensive wound evaluations
➡️ Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (coming late November)
➡️ Specialized treatments for diabetic wounds, pressure ulcers, burns, surgical wounds, and more
