Reach out to see how you or your business can give back to the community like this local baker!
Hi cookie friends!
I know there was a policy post yesterday so another ' read me" may seem like no fun but I promise not to be too boring. The start of a new year is the best time to check where we are going, what works, what doesn't and all that so hang in there with me and there are some feedback requests in here too ❤️
What do we offer:
Custom decorated sugar cookies for the most part. We have a variety of sizes and styles like custom sets, buttons and accent cookies but we stick with this item for the bulk of our business.
Cookie cakes. Ours are delish but a little different than you would find at the store. We decorate ours with cookies placed on top of homemade American buttercream.
Other baked goods: on occasion we may make something else and offer it for purchase. These are grab and go items and generally not a regular menu item. There are tons of amazing bakers in our area so it doesn't serve us to diversify too much, it's better to improve our skills with our main craft. We have a specific thing in mind to add for future but it's a ways away. You'll be the first to know when/if it's ready.
Pick ups:
We are struggling with a new pick up location since the old CVS building is being renovated. Arbor Gardens park can be dark and vacant and Oakridge Elementary has times of crowding.
We are open to suggestions on this and are also considering moving to all porch pick ups and just having a cabinet or something out there. We live in a safe neighborhood but there is always a theft chance but this gives you a bit more flexibility. What do you think?
We are currently working on a program with Share More Counseling to provide more direct assistance to individuals in a housing crisis. If you missed it yesterday , all net proceeds from cookie button sales will be donated to this extremely worthwhile program helping the most vulnerable in our community. If you are interested in getting involved, connect with Sharra directly for more ways you can.
We will continue to feature local shelter animals on Tuesday and are really grateful for your shares and comments on these posts. Animals have a special place in our hearts and we want to always advocate for them and will be looking at ways we can contribute more this year.
Special thanks to Melissa Trueblood at the Moore shelter for keeping us current when our featured friends are adopted. It makes it a lot easier for us.
Email list. We are changing this to a quarterly newsletter. I feel like we post a lot of content on our page so a monthly would be redundant and not interesting. The quarterly newsletter will have upcoming presale dates, event dates and other useful info so if you aren't on our email list, drop us a line.
Reviews: please consider a public review if you have purchased from us either via Facebook or Google. It helps with our visibility.
Thanks for taking the time to read cookie friends! We are looking forward to creating amazing cookies for you this year and sincerely appreciate you!
