Sugar is everywhere, especially during the fall season. Whether it is Halloween candy, Thanksgiving desserts, or our favorite morning pick me up. Sugar hides in our food and can lead to significant health issues in the long term.
Our bodies struggle to keep up when we overload them with sugar, and this leads to dysfunction in our gut health. Over time this excess sugar can lead to chronic illnesses like high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, excessive weight gain, and even cancer.
While it is hard for many people to cut sugar out of their daily routine, by limiting excess sugars we can get to a much healthier overall life. That doesn't mean ZERO sugar, but instead being conscious of how much sugar we are getting per day.
