With Halloween around the corner, residents got their creative juices flowing with these scary-cute skeletons! Residents were provided paper stencils of the hands, feet, and skull, and made paper chains to connect them together, just in time to decorate their porches!

Our first Parkers Bend floral class was a hit! These lovely ladies put their creativity to the test, making beautiful bouquets of hydrangeas, roses, carnations, daisies, and plenty of greenery!

Besides all the hard work our staff does for Parkers Bend, they have a few hidden talents they shared with our residents during our Happy Hour! Our Cook, Shakeira, and Manager, Katie, dazzled us with their voices; our Kitchen Helper, Emily, performed her spooky short stories; and our Lifestyle Director gave a live painting demo of the koi fish in our fountain! Talk about a talented crew!

Courtesy of our talented Garden Club, our patio has never looked better! Our residents rallied together to plant fresh flowers and plants that complement pumpkins, haybales, and scarecrows!

We’re celebrating the start of fall with our Oktoberfest celebration! Residents started the day by learning about the history & traditions of Oktoberfest, followed by making paper German alpine hats! The fun didn’t stop there, we continued with a pretzel toss game between residents and staff, and finished with a delicious German-style Happy Hour prepared fresh by our culinary team! Happy Oktoberfest!

A lunch out with friends is always a good time! On our most recent bus trip, we dined at delicious Carlucci’s Waterfront and took in the incredible view while enjoying each other’s company 😊

Our residents became passengers of Parkers Bend airlines this past Thursday at our Armchair Travel to Japan! ✈️ Passengers boarded their flight in the theater for light refreshments and an exciting virtual tour of the sights and cultures of Japan, then made their way into the dining room for freshly made Japanese style cuisine! 🍜
