EmpowerEd Summer Enrichment is led by a certified special education teacher and intentionally designed for learners who thrive in smaller groups with personalized support and guided social connection.

✨ 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
✨ Weekly Themes + Fun Fridays
✨ Daily literacy & math centers, crafts, games, and hands-on learning
✨ Built-in socialization and daily recess at Memorial Field

✨ Weekly progress notes for families

We proudly support neurodivergent learners, including children with ADHD, autism, and learning differences — in a space where strengths are celebrated.

💙 Thank You, Therapoodles! 💙

We are beyond grateful to Therapoodles for joining us at Teen Night and bringing such warmth, calm, and joy into our space.

Watching our teens who walked in feeling anxious and unsure slowly relax, smile, and connect with Sampson was something truly special. The presence of a therapy dog shifts the entire atmosphere. You could actually feel the change in the room.

Therapoodles serves our community in so many meaningful ways:

🐾 Facility Visits – Assisted living communities, memory care centers, disability support facilities, rehab centers, and more.
🐾 School Visits – From Pre-K through college campuses, helping reduce stress and spreading joy to students and staff.
🐾 Reading Programs – Creating a safe, judgment-free space where children can build confidence reading aloud to therapy dogs.

As a nonprofit organization, Therapoodles relies on donations to continue this incredible work. Contributions via check, Venmo, or PayPal help cover insurance, travel to events, and grooming for the dogs, all the behind-the-scenes essentials that make visits like ours possible.

Casey, thank you for the professionalism, warmth, and heart you brought into EmpowerEd. Sampson was an absolute star, and our teens are still talking about him.

More highlights from our recent EmpowerEd Teen Social Night 💙

Teens had the opportunity to share their interests (including one student proudly introducing her YouTube page), spend time with our favorite therapy dog, Sampson, and connect over some shared favorites like Beanie Boos.

What makes these evenings special is how naturally friendships begin to form. Conversations unfold, laughter builds, and students grow more comfortable simply being themselves.

At EmpowerEd, we intentionally create small, supportive spaces where middle and high school students can build confidence, practice social skills in real time, and develop meaningful connections.

We’re already looking forward to the next one. 💙

There’s more than one way to solve a math problem.

🐾 Teen Night at EmpowerEd 🐾

Five teens walked into our center on Saturday feeling anxious, unsure, and not quite knowing what to expect.

Two hours later?

Very full bellies.
Lots of laughter.
Card games.
Therapy dog cuddles.
Independent conversations that weren’t forced.

They opened up — on their own time.
They relaxed — in their own way.
They left knowing they belong to something safe.

A space of teens who are working on themselves.
Teens who want connection.
Teens who want to have a good time without pressure.

And yes… they will absolutely be back.

This is what EmpowerEd Teen Social Nights are about.

No pressure to talk.
No pressure to perform.
Just come hang out your way.
