We call it stress. But biologically, it’s the consequence of chronic magnesium drain from sugar, screens, stimulants, and the nonstop pace of modern life. The symptoms you feel are your cells signaling that they can’t run the circuitry without enough mineral charge.

Replenish the charge, and stability returns.

“Control” has become the goal in modern wellness.

Control your nervous system.
Control your hormones.
Control your symptoms.

But the body isn’t something to override.

It’s a system that responds to what it’s given.

When cells are depleted of essential minerals and nutrients, regulation becomes unstable. No amount of breathwork or protocols can replace that foundation.

Support the body at the cellular level, and it does what it was designed to do.

You can’t “hack” your way out of depletion.

If the nervous system doesn’t have the minerals it needs, it won’t stabilize no matter how good the technique.

AI health advice is everywhere right now.

From quick answers to personalized protocols, more people are turning to AI for guidance on supplements and wellness routines.

But the real question is this: Is AI actually giving your body what it needs… or just repeating surface-level advice?

In Dr. Dean's latest blog, we break down the most common mineral mistakes people make when relying on AI-generated health recommendations, especially when it comes to magnesium.

Because while AI can organize information, it often misses the deeper context:
how minerals work together, how the body actually uses them, and why form, dosage, and balance matter.

The blog explains why magnesium is foundational to over 700 enzymatic processes and how overlooking proper mineral support can limit real results.

AI health apps track sleep, exercise, and symptoms but they often miss one crucial factor: mineral balance. Discover the 3 mineral mistakes technology can’t fix and why magnesium may be the missing link to energy, sleep, and resilience.

“Leaky gut” has become a familiar explanation, but gut function is rarely driven by a single mechanism.

In practice, the integrity of the intestinal barrier reflects how well multiple systems are functioning together.

Supporting the body as a whole means looking at the inputs those systems depend on day to day:
- Adequate stomach acid and enzymes to properly break down food.
- A regulated nervous system so digestion can occur efficiently.
- A stable microbial environment supported by consistent dietary patterns.
- And sufficient minerals and electrolytes to support cellular function and signaling.

When these foundations are in place the body is better able to regulate itself, including how the gut barrier functions.

The goal is not to chase one condition, but to restore the conditions the body requires to function properly.

Many people think occasional drinking is harmless when it comes to brain health. But the brain depends on healthy mitochondria to produce the energy that allows neurons to communicate, adapt, and maintain cognitive function over time.

When mitochondrial energy production is disrupted, the brain has fewer resources to support repair, signaling, and long term resilience.

Lifestyle choices that affect liver health and mitochondrial function can have a ripple effect throughout the body, including the brain.

Understanding how everyday habits influence cellular energy may be one of the most important steps in protecting cognitive health as we age.

For many people, especially in past generations, the message was simple: ignore your emotions and keep going.

But emotional health and physical health are deeply connected. Stress, life experiences, and how we process them all influence the body over time.

That’s why more conversations in health are beginning to look at the body as a whole system, not just a list of symptoms.

This clip is from Dr. Dean’s guest appearance on the Vitality Made Simple podcast with Dr. Debbie Ozment.

For decades, medicine has often focused on managing symptoms rather than helping people understand how their bodies actually work.

But that model is starting to shift.

More people want to understand their metabolism, their stress responses, their digestion, and how daily habits influence long-term health. Education empowers patients to ask better questions, make informed decisions, and participate more actively in their own care.

When patients understand their biology, they become partners in the process of health rather than passive recipients of treatment.

That’s the future of medicine.
