⭐ Our August Star of the Month is Kandace! ⭐

After retiring from a successful career in life and health insurance, Kandace and her husband Mike, along with their beloved pups Happy & Lucky, made the big move from the Chicago suburbs to Mooresville in April 2024. An avid outdoors enthusiast, Kandace loves spending time golfing, camping, enjoying watersports, and attending live music events. Above all, she loves every moment spent with her loved ones.

Kandace first discovered Pilates in Illinois back in 2018 and immediately loved it. While she tried other programs, including barre, nothing compared to the way Pilates made her feel. She said, “I wanted to be healthier and get stronger. Pilates challenges me, but I love the way I feel after each session. I feel leaner and stronger, and I never dread coming here like I did with other exercise programs.”

After a brief pause during COVID, Kandace knew it was time to jump back in when she and Mike moved to Mooresville—and we’re so happy she found us! She now comes to class three to four times a week and says it’s easy to stick with because she enjoys it. “I’m a little OCD,” she laughed, “so when I set a goal, I follow through. I wanted something that would hold me accountable and keep me taking care of myself, and Pilates does exactly that.”

What Kandace loves most about 15 to Fit is the supportive and knowledgeable instructors. She shared, “I love the diversity of the classes and I love all of the instructors. I never feel fearful of getting hurt here, and I always leave feeling so much better. I also love the personalized approach and the attention to detail and corrections each client receives—it really makes a difference.”

When asked what she would tell someone who is hesitant about starting an exercise program, Kandace didn’t hesitate to answer. “Just try Pilates! You’ll feel great, and you’ll never want to quit. Jump right in—you won’t regret it.”

⭐ Our February Stars of the Month are Jason and Cindy Line! ⭐

Jason is a retired drag racer. Cindy is learning how to be a CFO/organizer of her husband. They have two kids. Jack, 19, he’s also getting into drag racing and Emma, 16.

🙌 Why They Started Pilates
When asked what motivated him to start an exercise program, Jason’s answer was clear and heartfelt. “So I don’t ruin the last 20 years of my life and Cindy’s life. I’m doing this unselfishly. I have some genetic back issues in my family and want to be healthy as we age so Cindy and I can have a good life together.”

⭐ Their Advice for Newcomers
When asked what they would say to someone considering Pilates, their response was immediate: “Definitely do it! It’s definitely good.”

Cindy, ever the encourager, added, “Stick with it. You’ll feel better.” Jason agreed and reiterated, “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done for myself—well, of course, besides marrying Cindy.”

A true Minnesotan, Jason added with a grin, “I tell Cindy she won the Minnesota lottery when she landed me.” Without missing a beat, Cindy replied, “Yes, I did. The $2.00 scratch-off.”

Their lighthearted humor, commitment to health, and genuine support for each other make Jason and Cindy a joy to have in our 15 to Fit community. Their story is a testament to how Pilates can truly transform lives.
