Although I read about Meister Eckhart in my youth and, theoretically understood what he was saying and how it connected to my study of Zen Buddhism, Sufism and some of my own experiences I still lived in clouds of illusions. Gradually the truth of the great mystical traditions gradually and very slowly started to dissolve the falseness of the way I actually lived and thought. Recently I came to understand, through direct experience, that consciousness is God.
