Dr. Mounzer is a well-respected, compassionate Physician and Surgeon who made his transition from Urology to Coaching and Mindfulness Training. He is a talented teacher, facilitator, mentor, professional coach, and author. He is a certified Mindfulness teacher and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). He holds a Master’s degree in spiritual psychology with Emphasis on Consciousness, Health and Healing. He has been facilitating workshops on Health, Healing and Stress Management since 1993. He uses his compassion and caring to support his colleagues, clients, patients, and students to reach their potential in their personal and professional development. Silence is not emptiness—it is a doorway. This past weekend retreat we honored silence not as absence, but as presence. A presence that allowed us to hear what is often drowned out: our breath, our body, our truth.
We explored the part of us we have been ignoring, and we got in touch with our True Authentic Self. We nurtured our Inner Child and reconnected with our meaningful values.
We walked the Labyrinth releasing all what we do not need and receiving divine inspiration for our health and well-being.

Our "Authentic Self" Retreat, calibrating your Inner Compass, was a great success. We gathered in a safe environment, with confidentiality and inner peace being the essential agreements.
We tackled gently our Self-Betrayal emotional patterns. Just to name a few, some of them being:
a. Compromising your core values or failing to set boundaries to avoid confrontation or keep the peace.
b. People’s pleasing, saying yes or agreeing to things you do not want to.
c. Ignoring intuition (gut feelings). Dismissing warning signs (red flags), and your own internal voice.
d. Emotional suppression, staying silent when you are insulted, hurt, or need to speak up.
Once we gained awareness, we took quality time, to release those patterns and then made vows to honor ourselves, and reclaiming the silenced voice within us. A vow to create a sacred commitment to "Honor my Authentic Self, my Truth", moving forward.

Equanimity

Loving kindness

Compassion

That s how Dr Rob Merritt, Professor Emeritus of creative writing at Bluefield University, started his session during our Wednesday noon Mindful Meditation.
Dr Merritt talked to us about Poetry and Healing and shared with us some of his poems. At the end he asked us to answer these three questions.
Write:
1. Whom did you imitate? (in what periods of your life?)
2. Whom should you not have imitated?
3. Who imitates you? (in what periods of your life?)
