🎤 Oprah voice: You get a NOPE! You get a NOPE! Everybody gets a NOPE! 🙅‍♀️
Setting boundaries isn’t mean — it’s mental health magic.
Saying ‘no’ doesn’t make you difficult; it makes you peaceful. ✨

👋Raise your hand if you do, or tag a friend who needs to hand out a few ‘Nope’s' this week 🤭

If holiday stress burned calories, we’d all be shredded by now. 🎃🦃🎄⭐💪

💡Remember: you don’t have to bake, host, shop, wrap, decorate, and stay sane all at once. Take a breath, lower the bar, and maybe hide in the bathroom for five peaceful minutes — we won’t judge. 😂

Tag your holiday chaos buddy or drop your go-to stress survival hack!

Today we celebrate International Students Day -voices of courage, connection, and change. 🌍
This year’s theme, ‘Empowering Students to be Agents of Change,’ reminds us how students are shaping a more compassionate, inclusive world, including in mental health advocacy and peer support. Your courage to speak up, share your story, and support one another is changing the conversation. So, we thank you!

Tag a student who inspires you or share how you've seen young people lead change for mental health.

🔄Stress makes it harder to sleep, and poor sleep makes it harder to manage stress, creating a vicious cycle 💤 Consistent sleep supports your emotional balance.

🫨When you are stressed, your body activates its "fight-or-flight" response, releasing hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. These hormones increase heart rate and alertness, which is a survival mechanism designed to prevent sleep in dangerous situations.

Some helpful tips to Improve Sleep Quality:
• Maintain a consistent sleep schedule
• Create a relaxing bedtime routine
• Ensure your sleep environment is cool, quiet, and dark.
• Avoid stimulating activities

To Manage Stress Levels:
• Incorporate regular moderate exercise
• Practice mindfulness, meditation, or guided relaxation techniques.
• Get enough natural sunlight
• Seek professional help

🔆Happy World Kindness Day🔆

Everyday acts of kindness:
✅Offer a compliment: Give a genuine compliment to a stranger, colleague, or friend.
✅Be a good neighbor: Help a neighbor with their groceries
✅Help someone in line: Let someone go ahead of you in a checkout line or at a busy intersection. (LOUDER for the folks on Highway 150) 🤭
✅Hold the door: Hold the door open for someone, especially if they are carrying items or a stroller.
✅Listen actively: Offer a listening ear to a friend or colleague who is having a bad day.

If you have time to plan try one of these:
👕Donate to a cause you care about or donate items like books or clothes
📦Volunteer your time to a local organization, such as a homeless shelter, animal shelter, or community center
🍎Organize a drive for food or other essential supplies
✉️Send a letter to someone to let them know you're thinking of them
🪥Create a blessings bag of essentials or comfort items for someone who needs it

🧠 Mindset Reset 💡
Replace "I have to" with "I get to". Gratitude softens stress.

Gratitude softens stress by activating the body's "rest and repair" system, which lowers stress hormones like cortisol, and by releasing "feel-good" hormones like dopamine and serotonin. This can lead to better sleep, a stronger immune system, improved mood, and increased resilience to challenges.
