➡️ Appoint a water watcher - This should be someone with good swimming skills who keeps a consistent eye on the water and shoreline. Take turns amongst adults.
➡️ Teach kids to respect the water rules - ask permission before entering, checking the water temp before jumping in, knowing the depth, etc.
➡️ Use the buddy system whenever kids are in the water.
➡️ Prep your skin for the sun - Use a broad-spectrum SPF of at least 30 which you apply 30 minutes before going out. Reapply at least every 2 hours. Rash guards, long-sleeved tops and other cover-up beachwear offer extra protection
➡️ Keep cool and hydrated.
