My earliest memory of performing massage is when I was seven years old and I was walking on the back of my mother's friend. I frequently worked on my mother's back and shoulders throughout my youth, and in high school several friends declared it was a profession I ought to go into. Some ten years later I actually pursued massage as my trade. My formal mas
sage therapy training occurred in Gold River, CA while we were in the Sacramento area for my husband's job. I have been a Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist (LMBT) in NC, and a Certified Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM), since 2008. I enjoy continuing to expand my knowledge and understanding of anatomy and bodywork therapies through texts, courses, and workshops. My clients have frequently heard me say that there is no judgement from me. I share information, you decide what to do with it for yourself. You research if it's worthwhile for you. You discuss it with your medical provider about it's viability for your situation. Outside of that, we're pot and kettle--I need to do better about my nutrition, my hydration, my exercise and fitness so I'm certainly not sharing something because I'm looking down my nose at you, it's because it might be useful to you.
