Originally from the Buffalo/ Niagara Falls, NY area, Kayla Myers, PA-C, relocated to North Carolina in 2009 and calls Mooresville home. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and is proud to be a Gamecock alumni. She obtained her medical degree from Faulkner University in Montgomery, AL.

As a provider, Kayla’s goal is to offer Individualized, comprehensive care with a focus on preventative medicine. Her approach to new patients starts with kindness and the desire to understand and address their personal needs. With a degree in exercise science, her goal is to encourage movement and nutrition with a focus on a healthy lifestyle.

Outside of medicine, Kayla enjoys being active whether that be hiking, playing pickleball, or going to the gym. Although Kayla likes to stay busy, she also enjoys spending time relaxing, reading and time with her family and two kitties.

Meet Dr. Guida!

She is a board certified OB/GYN and board eligible obesity medicine specialist. She treats men, women and adolescents who are struggling with their weight and related health complications.

Dr. Guida is a member of the American College of Obstetians and Gynecologists, The Menopause Society and the Obesity Medicine Association.

She graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and went on to graduate from St Francis Hospital and Medical Center OBGYN residency program in Hartford, CT.

She served on the Quality Assurance Committee at Harvard Vanguard for 5 years in Boston where she was an attending physician specializing in robotic surgery, fibroids and endometriosis. She received obesity medicine training from Columbia Cornell Obesity Medicine (CCOM) which is an American Board of Obesity Medicine partner organization.

She has lived in the Lake Norman Area since 2020 and is a physician owner of Lakeshore Women's Specialists, PC and is a robotic and minimally invasive GYN surgeon at Duke Health Lake Norman Regional Hospital. She is a physician director for the HMR Program for supervised meal replacement services.

Dr. Guida is committed to taking the time you deserve to be heard and understood when it comes to you and your unique needs. She offers a compassionate and comprehesion weight management program and is dedicated to evidence based solutions for long lasting and healthy results.
