WELCOME TO OUR INTERN, NAOMI! Learn more about her below👇🏻

“Hello, my name is Naomi Marks. I enjoy connecting with people and supporting their growth in becoming their best selves. I believe in the positive impact that empathy and a safe, warm, and caring environment have on navigating through mental health challenges.

I work from a strengths perspective and aim to discover what a person has within them that can be harnessed to overcome whatever they are facing.

My education is in trauma-informed care, and I believe in the importance of understanding the effects that trauma has on a person in order to provide clarity on their current struggles. I came to the path of wanting to be a mental health practitioner by attending therapy to work on my own trauma history and experiencing the healing, self-awareness and personal growth that comes with it. This grew a desire inside me to pay it forward!

I will graduate in May of 2022 with a Master of Social Work degree and will work on furthering my career in mental health counseling.

I am a proud mother of three school-aged children (and have three bonus kids), a partner to a loving ER nurse, and a dog mom to two crazy doggies. I enjoy coffee, spending time with my family, hot yoga, and watching documentaries. I would love to get to know you and walk alongside you on your journey in mental health!”
