I remember looking at Derrick and saying,
“I really can’t do this.”

I was 25. I was terrified.

He stayed steady and said we didn’t have another choice, so we would do it.

And somehow… we did. 2x. 💕

I didn’t think I was capable.

I’m so excited to introduce Jessica Omdalen, my IBCLC Pathway 3 mentee!

Jessica began her journey supporting families in 2019 when she started doula training, followed by beginning her lactation studies in 2021 and earning her Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS) credential in 2022. 💕

After running her own doula business for three years, Jessica felt called to focus fully on lactation work, combining her compassion, experience, and knowledge to serve families through their feeding journeys.

She’s also a proud mom of four and will be joining me for both virtual and in-person lactation visits. Her calm, caring nature and dedication to helping parents feel confident make her such a wonderful addition to the Laci Jones Lactation team. 🌸

I haven’t shared much lately. Life has been FULL with virtual and in-person consults, pumping plans, bottle feeding tips, prenatal planning, and supporting so many incredible families 💕

But this little drawing from my 8-year-old reminded me why I do what I do…our big, beautiful family of 8! 🫶

Grateful for the families I help every day, and even more grateful for the one waiting for me at HOME! 💕

I try so hard to stay off the big “mom” pages 🙈.

I love the sense of community they bring (because let’s be honest, motherhood can feel really isolating), but it breaks my heart when I see advice that makes mamas doubt themselves or derails the progress they’ve worked so hard for.

Lately I’ve been thinking… what if there was a cozy little corner of the internet just for us? A safe space for my past, current, and future clients to connect, share honestly, and lift each other up. Because the truth is, not only do I love supporting moms, YOU all teach me SO much too. 💕

I don’t know exactly what this group would look like yet, but I’d love to dream it up with you.
