Minnesota State Moorhead was ranked the No. 1 Online RN to BSN Bridge Program in Minnesota by EduMed’s “Best Online College Rankings” for the 2025-26 school year. They also ranked Moorhead No. 2 in Minnesota’s Top Online Nursing Programs.

“These rankings reflect our commitment to meeting students where they are. We designed these programs for working professionals and aspiring registered nurses who need flexibility without compromising quality,” said Dr. Amber Reed, RN-BSN program coordinator in Moorhead’s School of Nursing & Healthcare Leadership. “Earning recognition as a top online nursing program while maintaining our commitment to specialty credentialing and experiential learning shows we're doing exactly what we set out to do – removing barriers to nursing education while maintaining the rigorous, hands-on preparation our profession demands.”

Moorhead earned the No. 1 Online RN to BSN Bridge Program ranking based on flexible pacing, faculty expertise in online adult education and real-world clinical experiences arranged both locally and independently, and the program’s hybrid format that meets F1 Visa international student requirements, broadening access for global learners seeking career advancement.

Moorhead earned Minnesota’s No. 2 spot in Top Online Nursing Programs ranking based on highly flexible RN to BSN options with individualized pacing and online/hybrid formats, doctorally-prepared, specialty credentialed faculty who employ cutting-edge nursing practice theories and incorporate best adult education and online teaching methods, and experiential learning integrated in clinical courses, including practica with families, elders, public health settings, and practice improvement projects.

Rankings are based on data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). Schools in the rankings must be accredited by the U.S. Department of Education, offer at least one online component, and provide academic counseling and career placement services.

Exciting Program Offering at Minnesota State Moorhead for Fall 2026!

Beginning in Fall 2026, the Healthcare Management & Leadership program to include a hybrid format in addition to the fully online option.

The hybrid format will include regular on-campus class meetings, giving current, prospective, domestic, and international students the opportunity to participate in face-to-face coursework.

Dr. Brandi Sillerud and students from the MHA and MSN programs participated in the Minnesota Organization of Leaders in Nursing (MOLN) Public Policy Immersion Workshop in St. Paul, MN, on November 12-13, 2025. Dr. Sillerud was also invited to speak at the event. Her topic: Messaging from the Head, Heart, and Wallet. On day 1, students had an opportunity to learn about policy and advocacy. On day 2, they participated in mock testimonies at the Minnesota Senate Building, related to a current healthcare-related legislative topic, and took a tour of the State Capitol.
