Meet Lizzy, our Lead Nurse for the southern region. Before joining us, she worked at another organization and was looking for a change of pace. She remembered seeing an RN position at our Rochester location, reached out to our site manager to check if it was still open, and we are so glad she did. Lizzy joined us in January 2024 and has been an incredible part of our team ever since.

Lizzy loves the community health center environment and the way we always put patients first. She values strong patient outcomes, relationship building, and being part of a team that does whatever it takes to support those we serve. Her role includes both administrative and clinical work such as patient education, vaccinations, case management, program support, referrals, workflow review, medication refills, and more. Lizzy is always ready to help anyone in the clinic who needs her.

Outside of work, Lizzy enjoys walking her dog Mia, crocheting, pottery, and reading.

Meet Isaac, CHSIs Chief Operating Officer. He joined us in April 2025 and we are so glad he is here. Before CHSI, he worked at another health center in Wisconsin and began his journey as a case worker. He was interested in how community health centers differed from larger systems and quickly discovered he loved the patient centered care and homey feel.

Isaac loves working at CHSI because of the mission. He enjoys hearing how patients love their experience, how we make them feel, and how they can receive treatment here that they may not have been able to access elsewhere. His role covers all of operations from the first touchpoint with a patient to care coordination after an appointment, ensuring our processes support the best possible experience.

When he is not working he loves spending time with his wife and dog, reading, running, and gardening with a special interest in the soil science behind different plants.

Today we are celebrating Lucia, our Intervention Director for the Victim Advocacy Program in Moorhead, MN. Lucia has been part of CHSI since May of 2000, almost 26 years of dedication and service. She first joined us as a bilingual intervention advocate and stepped into her current role in 2022. She originally found CHSI while providing interpreting services for another company in the same building and saw an opening she felt called to apply to.

Lucia loves that CHSI supports people and families who might otherwise feel isolated and gives them a place of safety and hope during difficult times. She values how CHSI is all encompassing and serves as a bridge to any service a patient may need. She describes CHSI as a lighthouse for many. In her role, Lucia works across every aspect of the Victim Advocacy Program. Whether someone needs help with walk ins, assessments, relocation support, documents, or finding an attorney, Lucia is the person you want by your side.

Outside of work, Lucia is a small business owner in the summer specializing in vintage and antique items. She is an avid thrifter, active in her local church where she has served as an interim pastor, and she loves spending time with her family.

This week we are highlighting Claudia, our Site Manager at our Willmar location. Claudia has been part of the CHSI team for nearly four years, and we can confidently say that she keeps the ship afloat in Willmar!

Claudia wears many hats. She coordinates staff and scheduling, runs the food shelf at our Willmar site, partners with local organizations for outreach, handles onsite IT needs, and makes sure building maintenance runs smoothly. No task is too big or too small for her.

When asked why she loves CHSI, Claudia says she often asks herself, “What is my purpose?” Her answer is simple, she is here to serve. Claudia says the organization’s mission aligns perfectly with her own purpose, and that connection shines through in everything she does.

Outside of work, Claudia continues her purpose to serve others. She helps with taxes, is a notary, caters, and loves cooking and baking for her family and friends. Most of all, she cherishes spending time with her 10-month-old grandson, who brings so much joy to her life.
