March was a lively and engaging month at Beehive Homes, filled with opportunities for residents to stay active, creative, and connected. Favorite activities like BINGO, trivia, word games, and board games brought plenty of laughter and friendly competition, while wellness remained a priority through Forever Fit, indoor bowling, balloon volleyball, and other light exercise activities. Residents also enjoyed their first sunshine stroll of the year, taking in the unseasonably warm March weather and fresh air together.
Residents also enjoyed coming together to cheer on the North Dakota State Bison during their NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament appearance, creating a fun and spirited atmosphere full of excitement and team pride.
The month included many special highlights. Residents celebrated Peggy’s birthday, decorated festive St. Patrick’s Day cookies, and explored Irish culture through our “Passport to Ireland” activity. Creative moments continued with painting ceramic gnomes and suncatchers, making homemade play dough, and participating in a variety of hands-on crafts.
We were also delighted to welcome a visit from Bio Girls, whose time with residents brought meaningful connection and plenty of smiles. Entertainment was a highlight throughout the month as well, featuring live music with Tim Moser, Big Joe Polka shows paired with ice cream treats, sing-alongs, and classic movie nights with favorites like The Wizard of Oz and The Sound of Music.
Aaron Hochstetler, our new Activities Director, is already getting into the swing of things and enjoying time with our residents. He brings a strong background in life enrichment, community engagement, and program leadership, with a passion for creating meaningful, person-centered experiences that support cognitive, physical, and social well-being—especially in assisted living and memory care. With experience in healthcare, education, and community outreach, along with advanced degrees in Health Administration and Public Administration, he combines thoughtful planning with a warm, hands-on approach. He is excited to get to know each resident and bring fresh energy, creativity, and connection to our community.
We are excited for all that April has to bring and look forward to sharing more special moments together. Be sure to follow along—monthly updates from Beehive Homes will be shared right here!
