Even seasoned cooks can scorch a pan, whether they’re searing meat at high temperatures or creating a delicate sauce.
Several natural and ecological products make it easy to overcome difficult cleanings. The following tips are ideal for cleaning a burnt pan or saucepan:
· Sprinkle the pot or pan with about a tablespoon of baking soda. Add a cup of water and 1/2 cup of vinegar then boil the mix for 10 minutes. The food or stain should wipe away easily once cooled.
· For tougher stains, consider cleaning your pan while it’s hot. Protect your hands with a towel or oven mitt. If the pan is scorched from years of grime, consider a large stockpot and boil with baking soda and water.
· Another natural cleaning product is white vinegar. After removing burnt on residue, cover the pan with water and heat. The residue should come off as the pan heats up.
