🎃 Oakwood Terrace & Moosic Alliance Community Church Annual Trunk or Treat! 🎃

What an incredible day! A huge thank you to Moosic Alliance Community Church for partnering with us again this year to host such an amazing event — with over 200+ people attending, it was our best turnout yet! 🙌

We’d also like to give a special thank you to Compass Home Health and Rehab for joining in on the fun, and to all the family members who came out to celebrate with our beloved residents. 💛

An extra special shoutout to our amazing staff who came in to help pass out candy and pizza — thank you! 🍬🍕 We couldn’t have done it without your help and teamwork! 💪

🍕 A big thank you to our Kitchen Director for making the delicious pizza that everyone loved — definitely the biggest hit of the day — and for providing our event with so much candy! 🍭

And lastly, a heartfelt thank you to our Director of Life Enrichment for coordinating this wonderful event and ensuring everything ran smoothly. 🌟

Our talented residents from Steel Magnolias and Personal Care Neighborhoods worked endlessly last week and this morning to bring their vision to life — presenting our stunning Marilyn Monroe in the Bath masterpiece for the HHCP and Hospice Pumpkin Decorating Contest! 💋🛁✨

Their creativity, teamwork, and laughter made this project truly special — and we couldn’t be prouder of the result! 💛

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon on Saturday, October 25th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM!

We’re excited to partner with Moosic Alliance Community Church for this spooktacular community event full of costumes, creativity, and Halloween fun! 🍬

🚗 For those decorating their trunks:
Please arrive by 1:00 PM and park as close to the driveway entrance as possible to get set up before the little trick-or-treaters arrive.

🍭 Candy will be provided by Oakwood Terrace, but you’re more than welcome to bring your own or some extra to share!

💜 Together We Walk for Hope, for Memories, and for a Cure 💜

This weekend, the Walk to End Alzheimer's - Scranton/Wilkes-Barre filled PNC Field with love, courage, and purpose. Oakwood Terrace was proud to sponsor the Check-In and Registration Booth, welcoming hundreds of walkers united by one mission — to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementias.

Our very own Director of Memory Care, Corrine, serves on the Executive Leadership Board for this walk and stood proudly representing the purple flower, a symbol of remembrance.🪻

She walked to honor her father, who passed away this year after battling the heartbreaking symptoms of this horrible disease. Every step she took was in memory of him — and for every family who has felt the pain of watching a loved one fade because of Alzheimer’s and other dementias. 💜

We also want to recognize Leah, the beloved daughter of one of our residents, who volunteered as the Community Engagement Chair and served as the Team Captain of the Walk Team The Byman Brigade. Her dedication, passion, and leadership helped bring our community together in such a powerful way — reminding us that hope grows stronger when we walk side by side. 🌼

As the sea of purple filled the stadium, every step carried a story, every flower held a name, and every heart shared the same dream — a world without Alzheimer’s.

To everyone who walked, donated, volunteered, and showed up with love — thank you. Together, we are making a difference, one step, one story, and one memory at a time.

💜 Exciting morning for the Volunteers of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Walk to End Alzheimer’s!

Our Director of Memory Care & Life Enrichment, along with her fellow Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s Executive Leadership Team members, had the amazing opportunity to be featured on WNEP 16 this morning — live from PNC Field!

A huge thank-you to Leah, a beloved Oakwood Terrace family member and Community Engagement Chair Volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, for making this wonderful opportunity possible!

They took part in several segments sharing the mission behind the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, personal stories about Alzheimer’s and other dementias, and how this event brings our community together in the fight for a cure.

We hope you were able to tune in and watch! 💜
