Good morning everyone!

A hundred thousand thank yous to everyone who planned, volunteered, participated in, packed, moved, unpacked, re-packed, set up and cleaned up (all with a smile!) to make Saturday’s annual Remembrance Walk a huge success! The high schools and University of Scranton volunteers were amazing! The weather was perfect, and the participants were wonderful! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Happy Monday! And please be safe.

Barb Phillips has been an extremely loyal, behind the scenes employee at Hospice of the Sacred Heart for over 17 years. Her duties are wide spread but her primary focus has been handling accounts payable.

Many of Barb's colleagues attended a luncheon in her honor this afternoon at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart main office in Moosic. Barb decided recently to retire and move to a warmer climate to be closer to her sons. You could tell from all the smiling faces that, as much as we will all miss Barb, we're excited as she is about her future as a retired hospice worker. Congratulations and best of luck, Barb!

Little by the little, the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Monica Project Memorial Pollinator Garden is being spruced up for the formal dedication on September 17th. A small group of volunteers did some weeding and mulching in preparation for the big day. We saw plenty of butterflies and bees while doing our work. The garden is doing exactly what was intended.
