Financial Counseling/Assistance:

Part of the navigation process is making sure our Patients are aware of their deductibles and copay's. When our Patients are experiencing financial difficulty we help them apply for financial assistance and 99% of the time their burden is lessened or relieved.

Following the major winter storm that moved across the East Coast, we’d like to recognize and thank all crews and workers involved in snow removal, road maintenance, utilities, and emergency services. Their efforts are essential in helping communities recover and remain operational during severe winter conditions.

As cleanup continues, residents are encouraged to use caution when traveling, allow extra time for commutes, watch for icy surfaces, and follow local safety guidance. Checking on neighbors and staying informed about weather and road updates can also help prevent accidents during this time.

Stay safe and warm.

January is Tobacco-Free Awareness Month, and the start of a new year makes it a powerful time for change. For many, quitting to***co becomes a New Year’s resolution, and for good reason. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, cigarette smoking remains the leading cause of preventable disease and death in the US, responsible for more than 480,000 deaths each year. Nearly 1 in 5 adults still smoke, despite the well-known risks.

The good news? Quitting works, and benefits begin almost immediately. Within 20 minutes of quitting heart rate drops. Within weeks, circulation and lung function improve. Within a year, the risk of heart disease is cut nearly in half. A New Year doesn’t just symbolize a fresh calendar ,it can mark a turning point for long-term health.

Tobacco-Free Awareness Month reminds us that resolutions don’t have to be perfect; they just have to start. Choosing to quit, reduce, or seek support this January is an investment in your future- one breath, one day, one decision at a time.

Thyroid Awareness Month 🦋

Your thyroid plays a key role in regulating energy, metabolism, mood, and body temperature. When it’s not functioning properly, the symptoms can be easy to miss or blame on stress or hormones.

Around 20 million Americans have a thyroid condition, and up to 60% are undiagnosed. Thyroid issues are more common in women and often show up during hormonal shifts or prolonged stress.

If you’ve been dealing with ongoing fatigue, unexplained weight changes, hair thinning, mood changes, or sensitivity to cold or heat for more than a few weeks, it may be worth asking your doctor about a simple blood test. Early detection makes thyroid conditions very manageable.

Listen to your body and don’t ignore persistent changes. 💙

Today, we pause to reflect on Martin Luther King Jr. and the legacy he left behind, one rooted in courage, nonviolence, and an unwavering belief in equality. His work reshaped the course of history, not through anger or division, but through hope, moral clarity, and collective action.

More than a day off, Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a reminder that progress requires intention. It calls us to examine how we treat one another, how we serve our communities, and how we carry forward the responsibility of justice in everyday life.

Perhaps his most enduring words still guide us today:
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

May we honor his legacy not only in remembrance, but in action — choosing empathy, standing up for fairness, and continuing the work he so bravely led.

January is a reminder to slow down and make time for the things we enjoy just because we enjoy them. Hobbies aren’t just fun—they help reduce stress, boost creativity, and improve overall well-being. Research shows that people who regularly engage in hobbies often experience better mood and lower stress levels, especially during the winter months.

Whether it’s reading, cooking, crafting, painting, learning a new skill, or revisiting an old passion, even a few minutes a day can make a difference. National Hobby Month is the perfect excuse to unplug, try something new, or fall back in love with what makes you happy.

Do something just for you. 💛

January is National Blood Donor Month 🩸
Every January, we honor the lifesaving generosity of blood donors and raise awareness about the urgent need for donations — especially during winter when supplies often dip.

💉 Did you know?
• Only about 3% of age-eligible Americans donate blood each year, despite there being a constant need.
• Someone in the U.S. needs blood every 2 seconds.
• Each pint of blood can save up to three lives.

Every unit donated supports surgeries, cancer treatments, emergency care, childbirth complications, and chronic illnesses. Even one donation can make a huge difference.

📍 If you’re able to give blood this month, consider scheduling a donation — your hour could mean a lifetime for someone else.
