We had a fun time at the Kanabec County National night out last night. We had concussion and drunk goggles in which the participants were tossing bags at the board with them on. We educated kids about concussions while wearing them, and the adults had fun trying them as well. There was a lot of laughs and wows. The kids had fun trying the drunk goggles and walking the straight line. Thanks to all who came out to support!

Tonight we were able to help Welia Health at a local businesses fire by checking the oxygen and pulse sats on the Mora, Ogilvie, and Braham firefighters. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Johnson Hardware family on this devastating loss.

We are so thankful for our community’s support and to be the recipients of East Central Energy’s Operation Round Up grant. This grant allows us to better serve Kanabec County with our volunteer first responder efforts.

THANK YOU to those who voluntarily round up their bill to the next dollar through Operation Round Up! In 2024 you provided radio and AED supplies, jackets, shirts, and bulletproof vests for the Kanabec County First Responders. As Kevin Schiferli shares, “We run a 100% volunteer operation. We need to be equipped to be first on scene to provide lifesaving measures until an ambulance arrives. Grants make up over 50% of our funding.” Learn more about ORU at https://eastcentralenergy.com/operation-round.
