Back-to-school means an increase in children coming in with a chief complaint of back and neck pain caused by poor posture.
Chronic slouching from the world of screens; phone and computer use, heavy backpacks, sports injuries can all lead to poor posture, or a visibly rounded "humpback." Poor posture not only leads to chronic pain but also can lead to decreased mobility and even digestive problems.
Here are a few helpful tips to better posture:
✨Regular breaks from screen time
✨Stretching before & after sporting events
✨Use a sit to stand desk
✨ Make sure feet are flat on the floor
✨ Use an exercise ball
✨ Prop books under computer or laptop
✨ Regular chiropractic adjustments
