Does your hearing child have Deaf parents? KODA Camp is for them! π€
KODA (Kids of Deaf Adults) Camp is a specialized summer program where hearing children of Deaf parents can simply be kids, no interpreting, no responsibilities, just connection with peers who truly understand their unique experience.
For one week each summer, KODAs ages 9-16 gather at a safe, supportive camp environment where they can share their stories, build friendships, and celebrate their bilingual, bicultural identity. Led by experienced staff who understand the KODA experience, this camp creates a community unlike any other.
KODA Camp provides:
β
A break from daily interpreting responsibilities
β
Peer connections with other children who share their experience
β
Fun camp activities in a supportive environment
β
Experienced, understanding staff
β
Statewide Ohio programming through Community Services for the Deaf
π Open to Ohio families (out-of-state accepted if space available)
