Does your hearing child have Deaf parents? KODA Camp is for them! 🀟
KODA (Kids of Deaf Adults) Camp is a specialized summer program where hearing children of Deaf parents can simply be kids, no interpreting, no responsibilities, just connection with peers who truly understand their unique experience.
For one week each summer, KODAs ages 9-16 gather at a safe, supportive camp environment where they can share their stories, build friendships, and celebrate their bilingual, bicultural identity. Led by experienced staff who understand the KODA experience, this camp creates a community unlike any other.
KODA Camp provides:
βœ… A break from daily interpreting responsibilities
βœ… Peer connections with other children who share their experience
βœ… Fun camp activities in a supportive environment
βœ… Experienced, understanding staff
βœ… Statewide Ohio programming through Community Services for the Deaf

πŸ“ Open to Ohio families (out-of-state accepted if space available)

Applications Open in April! Visit: https://csddaytoncamps.my.canva.site/koda

πŸ›‘οΈ PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN STARTS WITH EDUCATION πŸ›‘οΈ
Did you know that 1 in 10 children will experience sexual abuse before age 18? Even more concerning, only 38% ever tell anyone. Fear keeps them silent.
That's why SCAN (Stop Child Abuse and Neglect) exists.
Our FREE I Can Tell program breaks the silence by empowering children Pre-K through 6th grade with the tools to recognize unsafe situations and speak up to trusted adults. In just 60 minutes, we teach life-saving skills that fulfill Ohio's Erin's Law requirements.
βœ… FREE for schools and community groups
βœ… Certified through the State of Ohio
βœ… Served 60,000+ children in the past 2 years across 50+ schools
βœ… Evidence-based curriculum proven to reduce child sexual abuse
WE ALSO OFFER STEWARDS OF CHILDREN; a powerful training for adults to prevent, recognize, and respond to child sexual abuse in their families, organizations, and communities.

πŸ‘‰ Ready to bring SCAN to your school, daycare, or community group?

FOR 129 YEARS, WE'VE BEEN HERE WHEN OUR NEIGHBORS NEEDED US MOST.

1896. That's when this started.

Before planes. Before the internet. Before most of what we know today.

But one thing hasn't changed in 129 years:

When our neighbors need help, we're here.

When a child finds the courage to tell a trusted adult they're not safe.
When a survivor takes their first step toward healing.
When someone experiencing trauma reaches out for support.

We answer. We show up. We stay.

Through Womanline since 1971. Through the Trauma Recovery Center. Through Community Services for the Deaf.

129 years of:
β†’ Trauma-informed counseling
β†’ Support groups where healing happens
β†’ Prevention education protecting children
β†’ Case management and safety planning
β†’ Accessible services for ALL

But here's the truth about 129 years of service:

It doesn't just happen. It takes a community.

YOUR DONATION ENSURES WE CAN ANSWER THAT CALL IN 2026.

This year, help us continue being the safety net our community depends on.

πŸ’™ WHAT YOUR GIFT PROVIDES:

$50 = Trauma counseling resources
$100 = Complete intake assessment & safety planning
$250 = Full week of KODA Camp for a child
$500 = Prevention education for 200+ students
$1,000 = Comprehensive family support services

GIVE SOMETHING TO THOSE WHO HAVE NOTHING.

Nothing left to give.
Nothing left to lose.
Nothing but fear, trauma, and pain.

Right now, someone in our community is searching for help.

A survivor of violence who has lost everything; safety, trust, peace.
A child who needs to learn they're safe to speak, but has no words yet.
A family in crisis, with nowhere left to turn.

They have nothing. Except hope that someone will help.

That someone is YOU.

Your donation provides what they need most:

✨ A safe place to heal
✨ A trained trauma therapist who understands
✨ Support groups where they're not alone
✨ Prevention education that protects children
✨ Services accessible to everyone, including our deaf community

WHEN SOMEONE HAS NOTHING, YOUR GIFT GIVES THEM EVERYTHING.

πŸ’š $250 = Full week of KODA Camp for a child

πŸ’š $1,000 = Comprehensive services for a family

Through Womanline, the Trauma Recovery Center, and Community Services for the Deaf, we provide specialized, trauma-informed care for those who need it most.

But we can only do this with YOUR support.

Tomorrow, someone will reach out for help.
Will we have the resources to say "yes"?

With your gift, absolutely.
