Mr. Claude Cicero “CC” Brooks Jr., 95, of Millers Creek passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at his home.
CC was born on October 26, 1930 in Wilkes County to Claude Cicero Brooks Sr. and Cilla Missouri Rhodes Brooks.
Above all else, he cherished his family. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he poured his heart into those he loved. He was a faithful member of Millers Creek United Methodist Church. CC served Wilkes County for 34 years as a Teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal. He enjoyed all kinds of gardening and woodworking in his free time.
CC is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virgina Lee Adams Brooks; sisters, Edith Chamblee, Fern Hunter, Dorothy McClanahan, Lillian Rash, Anna Smith; great grandson, Austin Roten.
CC is survived by his son, Mark Steven Brooks and wife, Laura; grandchildren; Shannon Royal and husband, Jeffrey, Ellen Church and husband, Tracy, Courtney Keller and husband, T.J., William Brooks and wife, Destiny, Marcia Youngblood, Darien Brooks; great grandchildren; Alexis Cecile and husband Aidan, Cameron Brooks, Samuel Brooks, Evelyn Youngblood, RJ Youngblood, James Youngblood and 4 great great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at 11:00-11:45p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Millers Creek United Methodist Church. The Funeral will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Millers Creek United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Millers Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pastor Bradley Lisk will be officiating.
In addition to flowers, contribution may be given to the Building Fund of Millers Creek United Methodist Church: 3260 N NC Highway 16, Millers Creek, NC, United States, 28651.

Mrs. Sharon Heather Campbell Scott, 80, passed away on January 4, 2026, at Atrium
Health Wake Forest Baptist Highpoint Medical Center.
Sharon was born on July 30, 1945, in Orillia, Ontario Canada to Bertie Campbell and Hilda Maud Roach
Campbell.
She was a great mother to Michael and always put the needs of others before herself. Sharon was a strong
willed and determined women, she enjoyed driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway, playing Bingo with family and
spending time with her beloved dogs Mouse and Mini. She raised many animals, her favorite being Miniature
Schnauzers.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Gardiner Scott; sisters, Ellen Burke, Carol
Campbell, Gloria Fitch, Sandra Campbell; brother, Claire Campbell; nieces and nephews, Toni Hill, Richard
Brown and David Burke.

Mr. Robert Calvin Osborne, 52, formally of Wilkes County, passed away on December 31, 2025 at Alleghany Health.

Robert was born on June 9, 1974 in Wilkes County to Danny Cecil Osborne and Janice Louise Greer.

He had a heart of gold and was willing to help anyone.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents.

Robert is survived by his son, Tyler Calvin Osborne of Sparta; niece, Cheyenne Osborne; nephew, Chase McCoy and girlfriend, Donna Marie Long of Sparta.

Georgia was born on July 1, 1968 in Wilkes County to George Edward Logan and Syliva Diane Bishop Logan.

She had a great sense of humor and was always fun to be with.

Georgia is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Stoney Russell Minton.

Charles was born on December 20, 1960 in Duval County, Florida to Charles Franklin Cribbs Sr. and Linda Sue Wise Mimbs.
His favorite pass time was spending time with his beloved dogs. He also enjoyed watching Georgia football and Fox news.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Debra Faye Dixon Cribbs; step father, Herdron Pete Mimbs Sr.

Mrs. Willa Dean Huffman Church, 76, of Purlear passed away on Thursday December 4, 2025.
Willa was born on June 24, 1949 in Wilkes County to Fred Walter Huffman and Dora Mae Lovette Huffman.
She loved the Lord and was ready to be with Jesus. Willa loved gathering with her family, cooking and watching, Days of Our Lives. Jake and Poppy are her beloved dogs.
Willa is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Dora Huffman.
Willa is survived by her husband of 56 years, Duane Church Sr.; daughter, Marty Leann Shumate and husband, Bobby of Hays; sons, Tony Church and wife, Tammy of Burlington, Fred Church and wife, Shelly of Ashe County, Duane Church Jr., and wife, Jammie of Purlear; sister, Phyllis Miller and husband, Gary of North Wilkesboro; brothers, Lonnie Huffman and wife, Joan of North Wilkesboro, Tommy Huffman and wife, Sherry of Millers Creek; 11 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.

Mrs. Barbara Ann Elledge Miles, 82, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born on September 15, 1943 in Wilkes County to Ransom McKinley Elledge and Alice Monday Elledge.

She faithfully attended Zion Baptist Church. Barbara was a retired Registered Nurse and always looked for ways to take care of others. She loved her family but most of all she loved Jesus and shared that love with as many has she could.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lucille Chambers, Frances Boyles; brothers, Ray Elledge, Kenneth Elledge, Kermit Elledge, Rufus Elledge.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard Miles; daughter, Becky Parker and husband, Jeff; son, Randall Miles and wife, Tammy; grandchildren, Carrie Parker, Jacob Parker, Caleb Parker, JL Miles, brother, Richard Elledge; sisters, Ellie Cox and Billy Stamp.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Zion Baptist Church of Hays.

A private burial in the family cemetery.

Elder Sammy Taylor and Rev. Julius Blevins will be officiating.
