Just a gentle reminder—behind this small business is just one human heart, doing her best to juggle many things. Sometimes that means I need to pause, set it all down, and rest.

I’m deeply grateful for the incredible clients who understand, who miss me when I’m away, who check in, bring kindness, and even offer help. That kind of heart is the soul of this community and it’s what keeps this little business dream alive and meaningful.

This is the real rhythm of having a small business, it’s messy, it’s human, imperfect, and filled with gratitude.

Sometimes, the gift of releasing what is not yours to carry is the best thing you can do for yourself. Especially those that are empathic and take on others emotions. It is important to know, that taking on other's emotions isn't fixing anything. It just bombards your system with patterns that aren't yours and leaves no room for your own alignment.

In energy work, the most basic foundational practice is learning to ground, release, and center yourself for better boundaries. There's a reason why so many energetic practices from around the globe have a similar foundation.

You cannot fill a container that's already full.
You are the container.
What is it that you contain?
Release what's not yours, and receive what is.

Here's a quick practice you can do: Body Scan
Pause and take a breath.
Close your eyes (after reading the steps of course)
Scan the body from head to toe noticing places of heaviness or tightness in the body. Acknowledge without judging or fixing. Just be with it as it is.
Now scan for areas of lightness in the body. Let yourself focus on that area that feels good.
Can you grow that area of lightness bigger?

When you're feeling weighed down, an energetic cleanse can be a great way to bring some clarity back into focus. There's a lot of crossover between shamanic practices and somatic practices. Energetic cleansing is a way of letting go and releasing all that no longer serves you. It's a great time for it after the full moon eclipse we just had.

You see, traditionally the full moon was a time of celebration, feasts, and embodiment. It is illuminating all the beautiful things from within. As the moon wanes, we release, we let go, and prepare for the inward reflection of the shadow moon. Releasing practices are most effective from the third quarter waning moon to the new moon. It's a great time to schedule a Shamanic Reiki session.
