What does Occupational Therapy look like❓

It looks like someone practicing how to button a shirt again. 👔 Rebuilding the strength and dexterity to hold a coffee cup. ☕ Rehearsing the motions to prepare a simple meal and learning to use a reacher to safely pick things up without bending 🫳.

During Occupational Therapy Month, we’re celebrating the amazing therapists who help our rehab patients rebuild confidence, independence, and the skills that make daily life meaningful. 🫶

April is Volunteer Month, and we are celebrating the amazing people of all ages who share their time with our residents. From calling bingo to painting nails 💅, performing music 🎵 to simply sitting and chatting, our volunteers bring an essential joy and connection to our community.

Congratulations to Barbara, who recently completed her rehabilitation program with us! 🎉

When she arrived, she was completely dependent for her mobility and functional skills, and now she can walk again, get around the house, dress herself and even manage stairs! 👏

"I have worked hard in therapy to get where I am today," Barbara said. "It's been a long road, but I'm finally headed home. Thank you!" 💚
