Today kicks off National Rehabilitation Awareness Week (Sept. 15-21) 2025! 🎉

In addition to our skilled nursing and long-term care services, each Life Care Centers of America facility also offers on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Over the years, our therapy teams across the nation have helped thousands of seniors improve function and mobility.

This week, we give a special thanks to all our PTs, OTs, and SLPs who truly make a difference in the lives of our inpatients and outpatients every day! 🫶

Congratulations to Mr. Fouch, who recently completed his rehabilitation with us and returned home! 🎉

When he came to us after a bone infection had left him weak, he needed substantial assistance with mobility and daily self-care tasks. With the help of therapy, he is now stronger and able to do more on his own. 💪

🗨️ "Everyone was wonderful, and I can't thank them enough," Mr. Fouch said. "I'm glad I got better and am headed home."

🎉 Congratulations to Kathy Coldiron, who recently completed her rehabilitation program with us after shoulder surgery. She has regained her independence in walking, getting in and out of bed, balance, and getting dressed.

"As much as I enjoyed everyone there, there's no place like home," Kathy said. "Thanks to all the staff at Life Care for helping me get back on my feet!" 🙂

What a great way to kick off the weekend! Our residents enjoyed a Luau Feast, with treats and snow cones! Thank you to all who helped with the festivities for our wonderful residents.

This week's Employee Spotlight is Alexis Helton. She is from West Liberty and has been in this area her whole life. Alexis has been employed with LifeCare Center of Morehead for 2 years. What she enjoys most about her job is her residents. She wishes people understood that the residents mean so much to us and we mean a lot to them The best piece of advice anyone has given Alexis is 'Do what you love and never give up". As a child,d Alexis wanted to be a vet. A fun fact about her is she is in Nursing School and loves it. Her favorite part is starting IVs and giving shots. One of her hobbies is painting, and she loves to hang out with her residents when she gets a chance. She also loves hiking and swimming, If Alexis ever won the lottery she would buy her grandma a new house and car. Alexis, thank you for all you do !!!
