Zane has been a valued member of the Benchmark team for almost 3 years. He began his career with us as a TSS and recently stepped into the role of Intake Coordinator. Throughout his time at Benchmark, he has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to the youth and foster families we serve. He goes above and beyond to ensure that each child is placed in a safe, supportive home that best meets their individual needs.

Zane has a strong commitment to both the youth and foster parents we serve, always putting them first in every situation. From the moment he joined our team, he has brought contagious energy and a great sense of humor that fills our office with laughter. He is often the one lifting spirits and creating a welcoming environment for both staff and clients.

We thank Zane for his hard work, his dedication to placing youth in supportive homes during their time in care, and for his outstanding service as a TSS and now as our Intake Coordinator.

Meet Makenzie

She has been been a valued member of the Benchmark team for almost three years. She started as a TSS and became the Licensing Specialist in 2024. Makenzie enjoys being one of the welcoming faces new families meet when they are beginning their foster care journey. She also helps to ensure that the licensed homes stay up to date on everything so the youth in their home are able to maintain their placement.

Makenzie's role of guiding foster parents through training, providing valuable resources, and working with the rest of the Benchmark Team on finding creative ideas to help the families support children in their home. She is dependable, caring and has a passion to find the best parents to become a part of our team.

We thank Makenzie for her hard work and the new families and faces she brings into the office. 😄

Approximately 75% of youth in foster care have at least one sibling also in care, making sibling placement incredibly important.

Meet the Moore/Barton Home. From the beginning, they knew they wanted to foster a sibling group and within a month, they welcomed three siblings into their home. Nearly two years later, they continue to provide a stable, loving environment while also opening their doors to older youth in need of placement.

The Moore/Barton Home goes above and beyond to ensure every child feels valued, supported, and truly part of the family. Their dedication, advocacy, and compassion leave a lasting impact on the lives of the youth they serve.

Meet Brandi

She has been a dedicated member of the Benchmark team for several years. She has been Benchmarks Regional Director (RD) for almost two years. Her passion for supporting the children in our care is evident in everything she does. She truly is the glue that holds Benchmark together—always present, whether it’s day or night, offering her support to anyone in need.

Her leadership style is rooted in compassion, accountability, and a deep understanding of the work we do. She leads by example, constantly encouraging her team, advocating for the needs of our staff and families, and pushing Benchmark to grow and evolve in meaningful ways. Her impact is felt not just in the office, but across every home and life she touches.

We are so incredibly grateful for the dedication and hard work Brandi brings to our team every day ⭐

The average age we receive on our referrals is ages 13 and older. Many interested in fostering do not want to foster teenagers. We are pleased to have the Ferguson home who is always willing to take in those teenage boys. Their home is known to be the hopeful last step before youth enter independent living. They provide a stable home and are their children’s biggest advocates. Their home is always a welcoming and accepting environment for all that arrive. They use their years of experience to help not only their children but other children along the way. They not only support their children but the staff that they interact with and are always willing to lend a helping hand.

Benchmark wants to thank the Ferguson Home for all that they have done over the years for every child that has entered their home. We admire their dedication to these youth and the willingness to continue bringing youth into their home who need out-of-home care. Thank you for all that you do.
