With Thanksgiving coming up, it’s a good moment to slow down and really look at the progress you’ve made. Recovery isn’t only about leaving old habits behind. It’s about learning to trust yourself again and building a healthier, more confident version of yourself.

If this week has you thinking about where you’ve been and where you’re headed, let it also remind you to be grateful for your own resilience.

And if you’re ready for support or guidance, ARIA Kentucky is here to help you move forward. Call us today at 606-462-3001 to talk with our support team!

No matter where you are in your journey today, remember this: progress isn’t always loud.

Sometimes it’s choosing to show up. Sometimes it’s choosing to try again. And sometimes it’s simply choosing yourself.

At ARIA Kentucky, we see the strength it takes to take that next step, even on the tough days. Keep moving forward. You’re building something better with every choice you make.

Wishing everyone a strong, steady start to the week. You’ve got this.

Members of Aria Kentucky's Admissions department attended The Big Shu Drive, a Fentanyl Overdose Awareness Rally held in Clay City, KY over the weekend.

This event hit close to home for members of the team as Alex was a friend to several people throughout our agency. This event celebrating the life of Alex Shuler, also helped to raise crucial awareness about the dangers of fentanyl, and collected donated shoes for local substance abuse treatment facilities.

One of our intake coordinators, Jessika, spoke at the event and shared her own memories of Alex, as well as how she found recovery through the lived experience, strength and hope of other addicts.

Alex had plans for his future, plans to sing at Jessika's then impending wedding, he didn't make it there, its important for us to bring awareness that people with plans for tomorrow die today from fentanyl, it does not discriminate.

Protect Your Peace, Fuel Your Progress!

Let's start this week by locking in the peace that protects our progress. Recovery is a journey, and you deserve a sanctuary of calm along the way!

1. Start with Stillness: Give yourself just 5 minutes to breathe before the day begins. That quiet moment is your superpower.

2. Limit the Drain: Take an inventory! What (or who) is draining your energy? Limit time with the people, places, or screens that don't serve your recovery.

3. Let Go: Release the weight of what you simply cannot control. Focus your energy on your own actions and attitude today.

4. Surround Yourself: Seek out those calm, supportive voices—your recovery community, your sponsors, your counselors. They are your anchors.

5. End with Gratitude: Before you close your eyes, appreciate how far you've come. Every day is a victory!
