On Tuesday, March 3, the County of Riverside Board of Supervisors will consider actions related to Palo Verde Hospital’s Emergency Department and Clinic in Blythe under agenda item 3.41.

Recent County action helped secure participation in the state’s Voluntary Rate Range Program, unlocking over $9 million in critical funding to help sustain hospital operations. The agenda packet is available at https://riversidecountyca.iqm2.com/Citizens/Detail_Meeting.aspx?ID=3356

Small steps make a big impact. Simple lifestyle changes not only help your overall well-being, but they can also reduce your risk of cancer.

On a weekly basis:
🥦 Focus on a healthy diet, including fruits and vegetables and less processed or red meat.
🏃‍♂️‍➡️ Aim for at least 150 minutes of physical activity per week. -
☀️ Apply sunscreen daily and limit your sun exposure.

The Palo Verde Healthcare District (PVHD) Board of Directors approved a Management Services Agreement (MSA) with the County of Riverside during a special meeting on Thursday, February 19, 2026. The agreement authorizes Riverside University Health System (RUHS) Medical Center and Clinics leadership to deploy a County-led “strike team” for a defined 180-day stabilization period focused on maintaining uninterrupted Emergency Department, Clinic and directly supporting departments at Palo Verde Hospital.

Beginning Monday, February 23, 2026, the strike team will be deployed on site to assess and manage current conditions. The team’s focus will include patient safety, staffing stability, and Emergency Department and clinic processes. More updates to come.
