It is all psychological! If you breath through your nose, it is physically impossible to choke. Next time you have to get a dental X-ray, focus on breathing through your nose. You can also distract yourself by breathing in deep through your nose then while you exhale wiggle the toes on your right foot. Keep repeating, alternating which foot you wiggle your toes on!
