A potential government shutdown could impact food assistance for thousands of families and seniors in our community.

In the Inland Empire, more than 700,000 people rely on CalFresh benefits to put food on the table.

ReEmployAbility recently visited several of our nonprofit partners across Southern California, including Family Service Association (FSA). At FSA, participants from the Transition2Work® program help prepare meals that are served to seniors throughout the Inland Empire. During their visit, ReEmployAbility presented a $1,000 check to FSA in celebration of hosting their 100,000th injured worker in the program 🎉

Want to spread some Thanksgiving cheer? Make a card for a homebound senior!

Christina Contreras, our Administrative Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator, represented FSA at a community volunteer event hosted by , where local nonprofits came together to make an impact. 💙

At our booth, volunteers made Thanksgiving cards for homebound seniors, a meaningful way to bring joy this holiday season.

You can join in too. Send fun, heartfelt cards including jokes or Spanish-language messages to brighten a senior’s day. 📬💌

The seniors at the Grand Terrace Senior Center were so touched by the thoughtful cards they received from kids and community members for special occasions, they decided to write back! 💌 Their replies were filled with gratitude, sweet messages, and even a few jokes that had the kids laughing.
