On April 15th, officers with the Morgan City Police Department, along with members of the Morgan City Fire Department, had the pleasure of attending a luncheon at Legacy Nursing and Rehabilitation Center here in Morgan City.

Our officers truly enjoyed the great food, warm hospitality, and even better company shared with the staff and residents. Opportunities like this allow us to connect with members of our community in a meaningful way outside of our daily duties.

We are very fortunate to have a facility like Legacy Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Morgan City—one that provides compassionate care to those in our community who need it most.

It speaks volumes that Chief Chad M. Adams has entrusted this facility with the care of his own mother, reflecting the confidence and trust we have in the dedicated staff and the quality of care they provide.

Who says you can’t climb mountains in South Louisiana?!?!?

Mrs. Shirly B decided to join our Therapy Team in a challenging rock climb this week at Legacy of Morgan City!

Working with weighted thera balls and color coordinated " Climbing Routes" Mrs. Shirly B tackled the Legacy Limbo Route, working on sitstand, progressive reaching and weight shifting, all while managing her grip strength and upper body strength and challenging her coordination and sequencing.

Great job Mrs. Shirly B ! Way to send that route 🧗

☀️🍉 End of Summer party 🍉☀️

Our residents enjoyed some refreshing watermelon and a Strawberry Cream drink to cool off on a sunny day. We played few games of bingo, won some nice prizes and enjoyed some music. It’s always a good time at Legacy of Morgan City!

Let’s have some fun in the sun! Our residents had a blast serving lemonade and baked goods to the community on today. We’d like to thank each every one of you who stopped by and dropped off donations. It was truly amazing to see the smiles on their faces!
