It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved Olivia Stewart Guarisco—forever our little princess and firecracker. Olivia passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, gently closing her eyes to this earthly life and entering into eternal glory. She was 32 years old.

Olivia was born on July 25, 1993, in Morgan City to Heather Stewart Scully and Wayne D. Nix. She was the only daughter among three children and was cherished deeply by her family. From the very beginning, Olivia was full of life—always on the move and impossible to slow down. Her family fondly recalls how hard it was to keep up with her boundless energy, yet they embraced every moment, spoiling their baby girl with love and even her favorite drink, Dr Pepper, from her bottle.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Hargrave Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, with the reading of a special poem at noon, followed by shared memories from family and friends. Olivia will be laid to rest privately at a later date.

Celebrate the life of Olivia Guarisco, leave a kind word or memory and get funeral service information care of Hargrave Funeral Home.

We’re proud to celebrate one of our own here at Hargrave Funeral Home!

Our team member, Caleb Bryan, has worked tirelessly to bring something truly special to our community— Da Cajun Trading Card Convention happening this Saturday.

His dedication, vision, and passion for creating a positive, family-friendly event have not gone unnoticed, and we couldn’t be more proud to support him.

We can’t wait to see the community come together and experience all the hard work he’s put into making this event a success.

Be sure to stop by and show your support this Saturday—we’ll be cheering him on every step of the way! 🎉

We were honored to support the Centerville High cheerleading squad fundraiser by purchasing 500 Easter eggs filled with candy—and even more grateful to donate them to The Mission Church, who will be using them to help serve the community.

Although the rain may have slowed things down today, we know these will be put to great use in the near future.

It’s all about coming together, supporting our youth, and giving back wherever we can.

Community first. Always. 🙏

On this Good Friday, we pause in reflection and reverence. It is a day that reminds us of sacrifice, love, and the promise that even in sorrow, there is hope. May today bring quiet strength and peace to all who reflect on its meaning.

The earliest known evidence of a funeral dates back over 100,000 years. Archaeologists discovered burial sites where early humans intentionally placed bodies in the ground, sometimes with tools or flowers—showing that even then, people honored and remembered their loved ones.
