A Letter of Gratitude from the Hargrave Funeral Home Team

As this year comes to a close, all of us at Hargrave Funeral Home would like to pause and express our sincere gratitude to the families and community we are honored to serve.

Throughout the year, we were entrusted with walking alongside many of you during moments of profound loss. To be invited into those sacred spaces, to serve as a source of support, coordination, comfort, and at times simply a listening ear, is a responsibility we never take lightly. Over time, these moments often grow into meaningful connections and friendships that remain close to our hearts. We are deeply thankful for the trust you place in us and for allowing our families to assist yours during some of life’s most tender moments.

Beyond our work within the funeral home, this year allowed us the privilege of serving our community in many meaningful ways. We were honored to serve as emcee for the VFW and Ladies Auxiliary award ceremony, assist with their meal, and share in moments of recognition and gratitude. We were grateful to host and take part in Senior Prom at Maison Jardin, creating joyful memories for residents and their loved ones. We also appreciated the opportunity to provide resources, assistance, and support to several other community events and nonprofit organizations throughout the year.

One of the most meaningful moments for our team was our Christmas Memorial Service, a time to gather, remember, and honor the lives of those who remain forever loved and never forgotten. That evening served as a powerful reminder of the compassion, strength, and unity shared within our community.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many men and women we are blessed to work alongside each day. Our clergy and church communities, city and town officials and employees, florists, caterers, granite companies, and countless other dedicated vendors play an essential role in the care we provide. Your professionalism, compassion, and willingness to serve families with dignity and respect strengthen the work we do and allow us to better support those in our care. We are truly grateful for these partnerships and the relationships built through shared service.

Thank you for allowing us to serve not only in times of sorrow, but also in moments of remembrance, connection, and community. Please know that the families we have served remain in our hearts, our thoughts, and our prayers...always.

As we look ahead, we do so with gratitude for the year behind us and optimism for a beautiful new year to come. We are humbled by the honor of being entrusted with the care of your loved ones and remain committed to serving this community with compassion, dignity, and respect in the days ahead.

With sincere appreciation and warm wishes,
The Hargrave Funeral Home Team
