We will be closed tomorrow 5-1-26 from 11am to 2pm so the staff can be with the Clements family at St Ann Church to lay Ginny Clements to rest. We invite the community and patients of Clement’s Drugs to join us.

The world is a little dimmer without Ginny.

I was fortunate enough to work with Ginny for many years and to experience a side of her that many knew, but few truly saw. She was the lifeblood of Clements Drugs—quietly running the day-to-day operations in the background, never seeking recognition. For her, it was never about prestige; it was always about caring for people and stepping in when no one else would.

Ginny was incredibly intelligent, deeply kind, and one of the best mentors anyone could ask for. So many of us have a story about how Rick and Ginny Clements impacted our lives, and I will forever be grateful for mine. At the time, I was working a dead-end job waiting tables, unsure if I would even go to college. They used to sit in my section at HarvE’s restaurant, and over time, they offered me an opportunity I quickly accepted. The rest is history.

Over the next decade, I worked closely with them and was molded into the pharmacist I am today. But more than that, Ginny was always preparing me for something bigger. She would quietly reassure me, in her way, that one day I would own the store—that I could do it. I don’t know that I fully believed it at the time, but she did. And that belief mattered. She was proud knowing that I would carry on what they built, and that meant everything to her.

They didn’t just teach me the profession—they showed me what it means to truly care for a community and the people in it. They set the stage for me to continue their legacy, something I will always take seriously.

Ginny was more than a boss—she was a mentor, a steady presence, and someone who believed in me before I believed in myself. Her impact will continue to be felt in every patient helped, every lesson passed on, and every act of kindness carried forward.

I will miss her deeply, and I will carry what she taught me with me every single day.

Last week Pharmacists and Pharmacy students visted with members of Congress and the Senate to continue our fight against PBM'S. Congressman Comer continues to fight for the independent pharmacies. However, we still have a lot of work to do in the Senate! We will continue making the trips, the calls and writing the letters to make sure your local Independent pharmacy can continue to take care of everyone!
