October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic Violence Awareness Month was launched nationwide in October 1987 as a way to connect and unite individuals and organizations working on domestic violence issues while raising awareness for those issues. Over the past 30+ years, much progress has been made to support domestic violence victims and survivors, to hold abusers accountable, and to create and update legislation to further those goals.

You are invited to a Drive-Thru Library Car-Nival at Western Piedmont Community College! Join us on October 21st from 3:00-5:00 pm for games that can be played from your car, prizes, a free book and lots of information about resources available to families in our community! We will also have local magician, TJ Shimeld performing while you drive-thru.
