For most of us, Mental Wellness means taking medications regularly, attending therapy sessions, self-care routines, getting adequate sleep, spending time with loved ones, and many other healthy strategies.
For others in our community, Mental Wellness means having their basic needs met.
Beginning May 20, 2024 until June 28, 2024, Aspire Psychiatry will be accepting donations to help those in the Morganton area meet these needs. All donations will remain in our area and be distributed by the members of the Aspire Psychiatry team on July 1, 2024.

Carey is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina with over 8 years of experience in mental health. Carey has experience with children, adolescents, as well as families looking for support with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, behavior management, parenting, post-traumatic stress disorders, high functioning autism, and conflictual relationships. Carey completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Appalachian State University and received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University. Carey utilizes an eclectic approach when working with clients including cognitive behavioral, person centered, Gestalt therapy, and Existentialism. Carey wishes to assist those looking to address their mental health in a positive and encouraging way. She believes everyone encounters daily challenges and can actively change their current strife with honesty and determination.

As the winter months are approaching us we tend to think about those in our area who are in need of basic necessities. The Meeting Place Mission is a local agency in Burke County which assists those who are experiencing homelessness by providing resources to aid them in establishing stable housing.
Aspire Psychiatry will be hosting a donation drive for essentials to donate to this wonderful organization. We ask that any items donated are unused and in their original packaging.
