Morganton Drug is a small apothecary-type pharmacy in Morganton, NC. Pharmacists John David Hood and Tom Digh opened Morganton Drug in January of 1981 with one pharmacy technician, Yvonne Robinson. It eventually grew to include other full-time and part-time employees. The store was known as The Apothecary Shoppe doing business as Morganton Drugstore, and the building was located at 107 Avery Avenu

e, the current location of CVS. In 1992, Pharmacist Karen Adams purchased pharmacy ownership from John David, and in 1994, from Tom. In August 2011, ownership changed to pharmacists/partners Allan Propst, Gary Harden and Mark Brooks, at which time the store name changed to Morganton Drug, Inc. In January 2013, Josh Haney purchased ownership and became a partner in the store. Each pharmacist has delivered exceptional customer service and professionalism to Cleveland, Gaston and Rutherford counties and the surrounding areas for 25 years. In March 2013, Morganton Drug moved to its newly purchased location on 500 S. Sterling Street in Morganton. We are happy to serve you at our new, more convenient location!
