Job Position: PRN Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (Contract/Independent Contractor)

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Locums Nurse Practitioner/Physician's Assistant with The Locums Company, LLC. The Locums NP will be responsible for providing coverage for primary care and specialists during vacation, leave, other staffing shortages, or on-going yearly long-term contracts. The provider will work on-site and provide medical care to student patients in accordance with their medical specialty and expertise. We offer excellent compensation, and professional liability insurance.

Job Description:
Here is a list of some of the standard primary and acute care managed at the clinic;
• hypertension, diabetes, ADHD, GERD, UTIs, URIs, STDs, sprains, allergies, wellness exams, sick visits and school physicals.
• Collaboration with the Public Health staff
• Clinic hours are from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with 1 hour lunch

Job Requirement:
• Must have NP/PA License in North Carolina
• Preferred experience working in Public Health Clinics
• Must be willing to work 27 hours a week (timeframe: Asap - February 2025)
• Must be able to work Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
• Must have an active Federal DEA
• Must be enrolled in the Medicaid program
• Must be willing to do a background check and drug screening
