January is cervical cancer awareness month 💙

Cervical cancer is largely preventable, yet it still affects thousands of people each year. Routine screenings like Pap tests and HPV tests can find changes early – often before cancer develops. The HPV vaccine also plays a key role in prevention.

This month, we’re raising awareness about the importance of screening, vaccination, and early detection to help protect the health of our communities.

Today, WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s Hospital proudly celebrated the opening of our new Outpatient Clinic, marking an exciting expansion of specialized pediatric care for children, expectant mothers, and families across West Virginia and the surrounding region.

Located on the 10th floor of WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s Hospital, the 15,214-square-foot clinic brings multiple pediatric specialties together in one family-centered space.

We look forward to welcoming families into this new space next week.
