WVU Family Medicine Residency WVU FM Residency is based in Morgantown, WV, and is a program with the feel of community-based pract The WVU Family Medicine Program is based in the Clark K.

Sleeth Family Medicine Center in Morgantown, WV. We recently moved into a 30,000 foot, state-of-the-art facility at the University Town Center. Our residents can also be found training at Ruby Memorial Hospital/WVU Children's Hospital, Sundale Nursing Home, WVU Sports Medicine Center, and several rural outpatient sites. Morgantown, WV has consistently been recognized among the top 10 for college towns, small businesses, places to live and to retire. It also ranks among the top small cities for affordable healthcare. Our residency program currently accepts 6 residents per year. Our program provides a variety of experiences and educational opportunities to allow for the growth and development of our residents into competent and compassionate physicians who will care for patients throughout all stages of life.

Last night we held our annual Department of Family Medicine Awards Banquet and Graduation and beat the heat to make some great memories!

This year’s class was a special one and included:

Matthew Epperly, MD who plans on joining as faculty in the WVU DFM providing full spectrum care including obstetrics

Tyler Groves, MD who will be a fellow in our Patient Centered Medical Home Fellowship next year

Brandon Glover, MD who will return home to Pendleton County to practice

Josh Moore, MD who will return home to Cattas, OH to practice

Levi Snedegar, MD who will serve as one of our Chief Residents for the next six months then join as faculty in the WVU DFM

Kolbi Tonkovich, MD who will be a fellow in the WVU Addiction Medicine Fellowship next year
