Jean Watson began physical therapy in Minnesota last spring with simple but monumental goals: rebuild her strength after cancer treatment and learn to walk comfortably again.

At that time, she relied heavily on a wheelchair due to severe deconditioning and arthritis in her ankles and hands. When she began the ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation program with certified clinicians, progress felt slow. Jean, however, showed up every session, determined to move forward.

When winter approached and she headed to Florida, Jean refused to let the change in seasons interrupt her recovery. She chose to continue her rehabilitation journey with us, making her progress a priority no matter her location. That decision has made all the difference because the transition was seamless.

Jean’s improvements have been extraordinary. Her strength, balance and endurance have vastly improved. Standing no longer feels overwhelming. She is more confident in her ability to walk. One defining achievement was climbing a step, something she once feared she’d never do again. Jean also loved incorporating BlazePods into her therapy sessions, using them to challenge her standing balance and reaching ability.

One of her long term dreams is to return to driving. She’s not there yet, but each session moves her a little closer.
