Looking for an opportunity to explore some Morgantown outdoor gems with your kids? Want to meet other families in the area who value the beautiful place we call home? Join us for a Tot Trek!
These hikes are very little kid friendly, geared mainly for kids 3-5 years old. Feel free to bring any smaller kids in a carrier … and if you need one, please reach out to me and I’ll see if I can find one you can borrow. Bigger kids (like mine!) are welcome as long as they won’t mind the little kid tempo.
We will learn a few things along the way and either before or after have a little theme-related story time or a craft.

We have had a seamless start to the school year ... Lincoln's first year of high school! I am so thankful for those who spend so much of their time pouring into these young hearts and minds. I'm also so thankful for the cafeteria staff because it means I don't have to think about food for him for lunch!

Myself, on the other hand. I still need to have a plan. My goal right now is to make sure I include at least 1 fruit and 1 veggie with my lunch.

Yesterday was my son's first day of high school. After a wild summer of lots of change, I finally had a day with mostly my choice of how to spend my time. Groceries, take the dog for a walk, make bread, and other things were on the list.

I added "bath" to my to-do list. I didn't end up taking a bath because it was beautiful outside so I read a chapter of my just-for-fun book while laying on the hammock instead.

But the goal was met. I needed to actually remind myself to take some of that time to refresh my soul.

What do you need to add to your to-do list so that you don't skip past taking care of yourself (so that you have the capacity to do all of the other things with the right attitude!)?

Finding yourself eating out a lot because it is time to eat (again!) and you don’t know what you are going to make? Feeling like you are in a rut with making the same things over and over again? Enter meal delivery services. I was hesitant at first because of the cost, but now that I’ve been doing it for a while, I totally see the value. For me, just having some variety and few meals a month that I don’t have to use the mental space to plan and shop for makes a big difference in my capacity to actually plan and cook for the other meals!
