We had two of our favorite visitors in to see our residents. Stormy and Toby are from On Eagles Wings and the residents always get so excited when they come to visit. And don’t forget the shoes they are always the talk of the town! 🐴

On Wednesday, residents of Sundale Nursing Home spent the day outdoors, enjoying a front-row view of the apple butter-making process, all with the help of the staff of WVU Medicine and WVU Hospice.

Yesterday Sundale and WVU Medicine Hospice teamed up for our Apple Butter Festival. It all started on Tuesday when we got together and peeled 9 bushels of apples! 🍏🍎 then yesterday morning they got the fire started bright and early and started stirring! Some residents joined us and loved reminiscing on the days they spent making apple butter with their families. We had yummy pastries for breakfast and lots of homemade soup to keep us warm. Although the day was long it was spent in great company and a memory that will always last. Thank you Dr. Shrader for "sharing" your family recipe and making it all possible. For a donation of $10 you can take a pint of our Apple Butter home to enjoy and it is soooo delicious! 😋🥰
