Happy 35th Anniversary to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)! 🎉
In 1990, the ADA was a landmark civil rights achievement and a powerful step toward equality, inclusion, and accessibility for millions of Americans with disabilities. It outlawed discrimination, expanded access to public spaces, and affirmed the right of people with disabilities to fully participate in all areas of life.
But 35 years later, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲 to ensure that individuals with Down syndrome and other disabilities maintain access to critical programs like Medicaid and high-quality special education services, have access to life-saving organ transplants, have the ability to work, earn, and save for their futures and so much more. 💪
To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the ADA we challenge YOU to make your voice heard by contacting your 𝟯 Members of Congress about 𝟱 NDSS policy priorities. We've made it easy for you to do with just one link!
