The West Virginia Family Grief Center provides support and a safe place for grieving children, teens, The West Virginia Family Grief Center welcomes you!

We opened in 2004 and we are the only Grief Center in West Virginia and one of only a handful in the USA. We are a non-profit agency and all of our services are free! The Grief Center promotes an atmosphere of hope and healing where families can share their feelings and experiences after losing a loved one. Specially trained volunteers provide support to children and their parents in a safe settin

What a wonderful Night of Service! Yummy meal provided by Kingdom EMC Small Group,followed up with an ice cream sundae bar. Then, recognition of a few of our awesome volunteers, and a special shout out to Linda Moore who has facilitated our adult bereavement group for 17 years (among many other duties). We ended the night by placing rocks that the kids had painted in memory of their loved one, under our memorial tree. Thanks to all for supporting the West Virginia Family Grief Center and helping our families and individuals to heal.

We are so very thankful for the Morgantown Church of Christ. Not only do they allow us to meet in their beautiful Church, they also provided this FABULOUS meal for our Families/Individuals and Volunteers last night! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Consider honoring your Mother by contributing to our Memorial Giving Tree with an engraved plaque in her memory.
Engrave a leaf ($100), butterfly ($500), or rock ($1000) in your loved one’s name. Your contributions make a tremendous difference in being able to offer and operate our life-changing, no cost bereavement support programs to the people in our area.
