Did you know today wraps up Antibiotic Awareness Week?

Pharmacists play a pivotal role in promoting appropriate prescribing, educating patients when antibiotics are (and aren’t) needed, and reinforcing the importance of adherence and proper disposal.

By monitoring for drug interactions, reviewing cultures and sensitivities, and partnering with providers on stewardship initiatives, pharmacists help ensure every antibiotic choice is intentional, effective and safe.
