Books are MY FAVORITE! And this is one of the best! It was one my favorite stories to read to my kids when they were little. And I have a copy of it in my office too.

It's all about how hard it can be to be yourself and the price of fitting in. If you haven't read it yet you really should! (even if you're a grown up)

Leticia was my first contractor. We started to work together so that she could get her own practice off the ground. I wanted to work on figuring out my mentorship model of private practice.

It was a great partnership and this year Leticia set off on her own! She has started Purpose Counseling and has a full practice! I'm so excited to have been part of the process.

Say hi to Korey!

He's the first intern to join the practice so he's helping us figure things out as we go! Korey is currently attending Eastern New Mexico University and will graduate in December with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Korey is currently seeing clients under the supervision of Melinda Stern. He is wonderful at making connections quickly and holding space in a compassionate and gentle way.

Korey loves to spend time with his family, whether immediate or extended. Korey brings laughter and lightness to the office. Don't know what we'd do without him!

Say hello to Lynn!

Lynn started working with me last September and I am SO THRILLED about it! She is compassionate, intuitive and kind. Being around Lynn is like being in the warm sunshine.

Lynn graduated from Colorado Christian University in 2019 with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Lynn's approach to therapy is experiential. That means using experiences as a way to move through trauma and to heal.

Lynn has four dogs, loves to take walks, watch movies and read.

Hi! It's me Melinda! I'm the boss around here (or so they tell me). I graduated in 2016 and I've been doing therapy ever since. I started Healing Word in 2020 and it's been the most amazing experience!

I am so excited to be in Moriarty and expanding my business! In the future I hope to continue to work with interns to make sure they have a great experience and learn what they need to know to go into the field of mental health.

I love my kids, my dog Zuko, reading, reading, reading, Harry Potter, Dungeons & Dragons and Lego. I love to be creative whether it's diamond art, cross stich, or even doing posts for social media. I'm learning to have a better work/life balance and get enough rest.

Three things that make me happy!

1) My planner...seriously I could not function without it. I have one for every year that I've been in business. Someday I can look back and see how much I've accomplished!

2) Stickers! I got these from a conference and didn't know what to do with them. So now when I fill out my calendar on Thursdays I put one on each day. Then it's a happy little surprise first thing in the morning.

3) Black Forest gummy bears. Like, have you tried them? YUM!!! So soft and super flavorful. I love em!
