When we come together, giving becomes powerful! Over the past several weeks, employees at our offices at the Shabbona school came together to support local micro pantries, turning small acts of kindness into a big impact. Thanks to the generosity of our team, 30 bags of food were collected and shared with individuals and families in Morris and Seneca. Thank you to everyone who donated, organized, and helped make a difference!

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Auxiliary Gift Shop volunteers who so generously gave their time throughout 2025. Because of their dedication and service, $37,000 in net proceeds from the Gift Shop was donated to the Morris Hospital Foundation. These funds help support areas of greatest need, from essential programs and services to state-of-the-art medical equipment, and this year’s Gift Shop donation is being designated to support the Catheterization Lab.

Beyond the financial impact, the Gift Shop is a place of comfort and kindness for all that visit. It offers visitors a moment of peace, a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one, or a friendly smile during challenging times. Our volunteers truly live out the Morris Hospital mission and make a meaningful difference with every shift they serve!

BRAVO to General Surgeon Dr. Bo Wang on achieving board certification through The American Board of Surgery! Our Surgical Services team couldn’t resist the opportunity to celebrate this outstanding accomplishment by surprising Dr. Wang with a cake when he arrived for surgery today. Board certification is a voluntary process that demonstrates a surgeon’s commitment to professionalism, lifelong learning, and quality patient care and an exciting milestone in a physician’s career. Dr. Wang joined Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers this past August after completing a five-year general surgery residency program where he received extensive training in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery. Congratulations, Dr. Wang!
